LG Cyking Vacuum Cleaner

Warning: LG employees may find the following description distressing.

LG V-CC1 'Cyclonic' vacuum cleaner with washable HEPA filters. Working order, comes with box, manual, two floor heads (the turbo head needs a clean), whichever accessories I can find.

OK, the reason this vacuum is free and not on eBay is that LG don't appear to be particularly *good* at designing bagless vacuums. Yes, this works well, picks up the dirt, doesn't blow dust around the house etc HOWEVER the washable filters clog up very, very quickly (about one square metre on particularly dirty carpet). And when they clog up you *have* to wash them (not shake them out, not vacuum them out etc, believe me, tried all other options) and leave them to dry out for 24-36 hours. Ditto the container & lid, if you leave fine dust in there then the filters just clog again immediately. It comes with two filters so theoretically you can have one drying while you use the other... but you usually have to wash the whole bucket anyway...

If you have a small, relatively clean house and vacuum regularly then you may actually get away with two vacuums before you have to clean the filters. You can continue vacuuming for a long time with clogged filters (has a rather good safety overheating cutout) but it just doesn't work as well.

After a couple of years of washing filters we now have a non-bagless, non-LG vacuum so this one is free to good home... well, OK, free, I don't think we care if the home is good.

And yes, we have washed both #&@@%# filters for you.

Seriously though, it does vacuum better than a $79 Sanyo.
Have cleaned the turbo head. Exterior HEPA filter needs a clean (no fear, this only needs cleaning once a year or so!).
